Magnetic Fields

The chronometric accuracy of most mechanical watches is badly affected by magnetic fields generated by commonly used objects. Thanks to the highly skilled expertise of our workforce, we have developed unique devices which enable watchmakers to study and solve the problem of watch magnetization.

Magnetism Tools For Watch Makers

In 2020, the NIHS 90-10 (ISO 764) standard was revised to cover the resistance of watches to high-intensity magnetic fields: 16'000 A/m (200 Gauss) and more. In order to meet the ongoing demand of all major Swiss brands for stronger magnetic fields resistance, H2i has developed generators of adjustable intensities, up to 2’000 Gauss.

  • Magnetic field generator
  • Helmholtz coils design
  • Up to 6’000 A/m (75 Gauss)
  • Uniformity: 1% in a 40mm cube
  • Rotating watch holder & coils
  • Opening diameter ø148mm
  • High-intensity magnetic field generator
  • Magnetic circuit design
  • Up to 160’000 A/m (2’000 Gauss)
  • Programmable intensity and duration
  • Integrated acoustic measurement system
  • Air gap ø60 x L60mm
