Vision
HMS10 Station
The HMS technology detects the angular position of the hands of a watch head, thanks to the contrasted and reflection-free images of its lighting system. Two pictures of the watch are taken within a few hours, typically 24h. The time given by the angular position of the hands is compared to the precise time elapsed between the two pictures. The result is displayed in seconds and extrapolated in seconds per day.
Elevating production efficiency with unparalleled precision
Introducing the Ten-heads HMS Station, a groundbreaking solution customized for high-volume precision measurement of mechanical watches and movements. This cutting-edge station features ten dedicated cameras and an advanced lighting system, operating seamlessly to meticulously capture and analyze the angular position of watch hands with unparalleled accuracy. Crafted by H2i, the HMS technology establishes new standards in watch manufacturing, empowering Swiss watchmakers to enhance their production efficiency while maintaining the impeccable precision and dependability that characterize their timepieces.
How the HMS10 Station measures the state of the watch.
On each head of the HMS10 station, two perfectly contrasted images of the watch are captured within a few hours, typically 24 hours apart. The station then computes the precise elapsed time indicated by the hands in these images. By comparing the computed time to the actual elapsed time between the two sets of images, the station determines the time deviation of the watch – termed its state – with exceptional precision. This state result is presented in seconds and extrapolated to provide seconds per day, offering unparalleled insights into the watch’s performance.
